BNY Mellon Adds Wealth Manager In Los Angeles

BNY Mellon has recruited former Northern Trust man Andy Chong as a senior wealth manager in Los Angeles, CA. Chong will report to Christopher Mone, president of the Los Angeles region. He was previously a senior portfolio manager and senior investment officer at Northern Trust. “Building our team in Los Angeles is integral to our long–term growth strategy in key US wealth markets,” said Mone, adding that “in the coming months we plan to add several more professionals.” In other recent news at BNY Mellon, last week the firm promoted Jeroen Kwist to lead its international business, spanning offices in London, New York, Miami, Cayman, Dubai and Hong Kong. In his new role, Kwist - who previously ran the EMEA and APAC regions for BNY Mellon International Wealth Management - will report to executive director Erich Smith, who oversees the international, family office and charitable solutions groups.
